The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and self-motivated Senior Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role involves providing expert planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdown support, diagnostics, repair, and installation services for a wide range of commercial and industrial boiler systems across our client. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our clients' heating systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Full current Commercial Gas Safe accreditations including:

-          COCN1 (Core Commercial Gas Safety)

-          ICPN1 (Installation of Commercial Pipework)

-           CIGA1 (Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances)

-           CDGA1 (Commercial Direct Fired Heating Appliances)

-          TPCP1A or TPCP1 (Testing & Purging of Pipework)

-          CORT1 (Commercial Overhead Radiant Tubes & Appliances) – desirable but not essential

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heating & Ventilation, Gas Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across a range of boiler manufacturers and types.

  • Full UK Driving Licence (clean preferred).

  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to boiler operations.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.

 Desirable:

  • AC and Electrical knowledge, Experience with AHU’s and FCU’s preferred. FGAS – Cat1

  • Basic electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).

  • Relevant manufacturer training certifications.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • A meticulous approach to work with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.

  • IT literate for completing reports, managing job sheets, and using mobile applications.

  • Professional demeanour and appearance, representing Artic Building Services to the highest standard.
