Multi-Skilled Handyman

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and skilled Multi-Skilled Handyman with minor electrical skills to perform a variety of tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and minor installations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in handyman services, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a range of skills, including carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work

• Carry out minor installations, such as lighting and socket outlets, under the guidance of a qualified electrician

• Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical issues, such as replacing fuses and bulbs

• Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs

• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete tasks and projects

• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time sheets and job reports

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

• Provide excellent customer service, responding to client requests and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a handyman or in a related trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical)

• Minor electrical skills, including knowledge of electrical safety and basic electrical principles

• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

• Physical stamina to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy equipment and materials

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required)

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification or apprenticeship an asset
